2020 marks the 25th anniversary of the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter – a transporter that has defined a whole vehicle segment and is known for its diversity, innovation, comfort and safety. Whether you are a tour operator, a campsite owner, a supplier or a motorhome manufacturer, the Sprinter model range offers the ideal solution for everyone.
The Sprinter Transfer Minibus is the new benchmark in spaciousness, comfort and passenger versatility. The Sprinter Panel Van as well as the Sprinter Cab Chassis are designed to help you work smarter by doing more of the work for you. Thanks to 25 years of innovation, the Sprinter is known for its exceptional safety, comfort, customisation and reliability.
With the third generation of the Sprinter, Mercedes-Benz has also put a high focus on building our position in the motorhome segment – which is proving to be a true success considering its growing global popularity. From the very beginning of the development phase of the third generation of the Sprinter, the needs of both motorhome enthusiasts and bodybuilders played an important role. Thus the current Sprinter is not only available in the proven panel van and chassis version but is also available as a tractor head variant in Europe (launch date in Australia to be confirmed) which provides bodybuilders with a high degree of freedom when designing the living area. The drive system types of the Sprinter are as individual as the body variants themselves: The latest 9-speed 9G-TRONIC transmission available in combination with front-wheel drive not only improves cost effectiveness, but also ride comfort. The proven 7-speed 7G-TRONIC transmission continues with the rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive. In addition to this diversity, the third-generation Sprinter also impresses with features that have been developed specifically for the motorhome segment such as the ergonomically-formed, swivelling driver and front-passenger seats or the electric parking brake for unhindered access from the cockpit into the living area. Furthermore it is equipped with the MBUX multimedia system with a touch display measuring up to 10.25 inches and a whole series of assistance systems which were previously reserved for use in the Mercedes-Benz passenger car model series. These include the radar-based systems Distance Assist DISTRONIC, Active Brake Assist or Active Lane Keeping Assist. (Such systems/features are driver assistance aids only and the driver remains solely responsible for maintaining proper control of the vehicle, monitoring the environment and complying with all applicable road rules.)
