Peter is a tourism and research expert with over 25 years’ experience working across a range of sectors including cruise, aviation, and destination development.
Working as GM for Insights at Caravan Industry Association of Australia, Peter has revolutionised the role that industry research plays to support data driven decisions both at an Association level but also for the broader industry. The internal datasets which are now owned and accessed by Caravan Industry Association of Australia are the envy of both the tourism industry and within the broader Association landscape. This data, much of which is close to real time, is also fed into Government changing the narrative towards our industry as well as by broader research commentators who speak on our industry.
Peter also lectures at Monash University in tourism, is a PhD candidate in tourism development in regional economies and sits on Tourism Research Australia’s forecasting advisory panel.
